Rookwood Stories in the Boys' Friend |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| One of Charles Hamilton's popular creations was Rookwood School.
Although not as well known today as previously, it has still has a large
following. Rookwood was written by Owen Conquest, another
pseudonym of
Charles Hamilton, and originally appeared in The Boys' Friend. In their
heyday, they were popular enough to be reprinted (often much abridged) in the
Schoolboys' Own Library. The listing given here are of the Owen Conquest Stories only, and include stories in The Greyfriars Holiday Annuals and those reprinted by Howard Baker. The Holiday Annual Stories are included in both the Holiday Annual and the Rookwood Sections. If the latter section proves popular I shall include the complete Boys' Friend listing. |
