We are the only Club or Society that specialises in the
work of Charles Hamilton, best known to the world as Frank Richards, the
creator of Billy Bunter, the fat boy of Greyfriars. Last year we celebrated our Twentieth Anniversary. We hold meetings three or four times a year - usually around London - although we have members spread across, not only the United Kingdom, but the World. Any member wishing to host a meeting is always welcome so to do. (In fact, this is encouraged!) These are friendly, and sociable, allowing members to discuss the works of Hamilton and to exchange views and collectibles. There is usually a talk given by one of the experts on various aspects of Hamilton and his work. The Friars' Chronicles, the club journal is published quarterly. Next year we celebrate the publication of out 100th Issue of the Chronicles with a special number. |
